                                                                                             Ventures  15.6.24

MM: Can you tell us about your band and who your biggest influences are?
Were Ventures from Manchester, England. Influences-wise, we take a massive lot of
influences from a load of different bands. Richards favourite bands vary from Busted to
Atilla, Ollie listens to anything from Nirvana to Tiny Temper. Weve all just got crazy
influences. We just come together and write what we feel does best for our music.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?
Each other, theres nothing else to it really, someone will have an idea or a concept and we
just bounce off each other to continue writing. I dont think there has been a time when we’ve
thought “Lets try this, like they did”

MM: What would you say is your bands favourite song?
(Richard) Oh, thats a tough one. Mine, personally, would have to be Paradise Lost, but as a
group and a band, we all enjoy Black and White. Its just amazing to play live and its
amazing hearing people sing along

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2024?
Weve sadly not got any tours or festivals booked currently, but were always on the hunt,
always on the look. So if anyones interested in booking us and taking us on tour, give us a
shout. @Venturesmetal

MM: What can we expect from Ventures Live?
Energy and to have your expectations averted.

MM: What do you like best and worst about touring?
not being able to shower properly but the hack to that is just get a cheap gym membership
so you can just use their showers but thats got to be the worst. the best part is just meeting
new people playing new venues, and making new fans

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies?
Oh, thats a tough one. Were gonna have to go with the Devil Wears Prada would be Ollies
pick, and AlphaWolf would probably be Jons then maybe The Amity Affliction

MM: Whats the most memorable concert youve been to (other than your own) and
why?
(Richard) Mine would probably be when I first went to see Bullet for my Valentine when I
was about 16/17 I’m pretty sure Jordan was with us too
they were one of my favourite bands at the time. Bullet For My Valentine just was amazing
back in the day. Not so good these days. Sorry, Matt.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
Probability when we got to open for I Set My Friends on Fire in our earlier years, this was a
band that 3 of us listened to when we were teenagers and getting the chance to open for
them during their Manchester show was amazing

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time?
Will probably have to go to a Polyphia album and an Amity Affliction album, but thats just me
personally. (Richard)

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have
people watching you?
As Ventures our first show was out of town in Leeds and we were so nervous as we didnt
have any music released yet just hoping it all went well luckily it did and the venue and
promoter were awesome

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall?
The usual Trivium, Bullet, Avenged Sevenfold. Basically, anything we could get out of
karrang mags

MM: Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other
person?
Itd have to be the OGs, wouldnt it? Like Ozzy Osbourne and AC-DC. Itd have to be all the
originals, as much as we might not enjoy listening to them these days. There the OGs.

MM: Whats the most important thing to the band right now?
keep writing keep playing theres nothing else we can really do just keep bringing notice to
what were doing and hope we build our fan base along the way

MM: If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
Never Too Much by Luther Vandross. Ollies really wants to try and get that into a metal
cover.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band.
Why not? Everyones into new music. Everyones looking for that new band that they can
have on repeat. Maybe thats us. Check it out.

MM: Four words to describe Ventures?
Energy
True.
Dynamic
Engaging
